Can you get a girl scouts Gold Award if you aren't in a troop?

I used to be i a troop but moved away. I earned my bronze award in 8th grade, and had to leave the troop right before 9th grade. I am now about to be a junior. Can I still earn the award?

yes, you can still earn your gold award if you are not now in a troop.In order for you to earn your gold you will have to register as a juliette girl scout which means you work by yourself. you can attend almost anything the girl scouts in a troop can do( not sure about cookies or anything like that) but once you register you can check with your council on what you can do but you can work on your gold once you are registered. good luck with your gold award and i hope you do become a juliette. it gets you amazing oppertunities and i know where im living if you complete your gold award you recieve a scholarship to college im not sure about other places though. i really hope that you have fun as a girl scout and are able to comeplete your gold award. remember you must complete your gold award by a certain date where i live it needs to be finnished by teh end of your senior year in high school. be sure to check with your council on your date to be finnished i would hate to see you do all that work and not have it in on time.
