Does Obama's decision to give Bernanke for another four years as Federal Reserve Chairman is wrong?
If it's bad, why? What how this decision effect our economy?
No offense, but RockyPro needs to get their information correct. Bernanke became President of the Fed in 2006. It was Alan Greenspan, who lowered interest rates in 2001, allowing a credit bubble to occur. However, only do not blame the Fed's economic downturn - everyone from banks to companies to individuals, is to blame. And it's a good thing that Bernanke is being re-created as chairman of the Fed The man took drastic and unorthodox measures to combat the crisis, and we have most of our gratitude to him, and that monetary policy appears to be more effective than fiscal policy during this recession.
