If i have dyed hair will a texture wave perm damage it beyond repair?

I cut my hair often and have shoulder length hair, the issue is I have had bleach blonde hair for the past year and just dyed it back dark and I want some texture to it, but I don't want it to be damaged beyond repair. Anyone have any advice to go for it or not? I have never had a perm but my hair takes super well to treatments and is extremely healthy.

I have permed my hair for several years now, and within the past year I have begun coloring it quite a bit. Honestly, I haven't noticed any difference in my hair at all. I got it colored twice in 2 months, then again a couple weeks later, then bleached and colored a strand red just last week.

Your hair, unless incredibly fragile, should be fine. I don't suggest coloring it a lot, because it WILL end up damaging your hair, but honestly you should be fine. Your hair dresser will tell you if he/she thinks it's a bad idea for you to get your hair permed now, but honestly, I see no reason not to. I say go for it.

The ONLY problem, really, is that since you colored it before perming it, the perm will take away some of the coloring. But that's easily fixed by recoloring.
